As an Account Manager in our Employment, Skills and Training (EST) team, you’ll drive the growth of employer relationships that support young people into meaningful paid work placements. You’ll help local employers access incentives, build positive partnerships and create the opportunities that young people need to start their future with confidence.

What you’ll do as an Account Manager
You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of high‑volume employer accounts, with a strong focus on local employers offering opportunities to young people.
  • Build trusted, long‑term relationships with key stakeholders and act as the main point of contact for all employer queries.
  • Promote paid work placements and employer incentive schemes, ensuring employers understand the benefits and how to access them.
  • Work closely with our Resources team to ensure employer expectations are clearly communicated and placements for young people are timely and high quality.
  • Track performance metrics including satisfaction, retention, sustainability and repeat engagement, using insights to improve service delivery.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…

  • Sales and business development experience, ideally within a high‑volume or employer engagement environment.
  • Experience working directly with young people and an understanding of the barriers they may face when entering employment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence employers at all levels.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet targets in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Confidence using MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
