As an Assistant Principal – Industries in our Justice and Immigration College team, you’ll lead strategic growth, employer engagement and partnership development across the education, skills, work and employment landscape. You’ll play a key role in creating impactful solutions that improve rehabilitation outcomes and support individuals into sustainable employment.

Working closely with customers, employers, operational leaders and external partners, your work will have purpose as you help create pathways that support growth, rehabilitation and long-term success.
What you’ll do as an Assistant Principal – Industries
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Lead the development and implementation of the College Industries Strategy across the Justice and Immigration portfolio.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with employers, industry bodies, awarding organisations and supply chain partners.
- Support growth opportunities through bid development, tender submissions and innovative solution design.
- Lead mobilisation activity for new contracts, service expansions and transformational projects.
- Provide strategic oversight of third-party education, skills, work and employment providers, ensuring quality, compliance and performance standards are achieved.
- Represent the college at customer forums, stakeholder meetings and industry events, promoting innovation and sustainable employment opportunities.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…
- Significant experience in business development, strategic growth or partnership management within complex operational environments.
- A proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with employers, customers, providers and key stakeholders.
- Experience supporting or leading bids, tenders, procurement processes or solution design activities.
- Strong project and programme management skills, including mobilisation, governance and risk management.
- Knowledge of education, skills, employability or workforce development programmes, ideally within justice, rehabilitation or further education settings.
Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
