As a Technician in our Leisure Centres, you’ll help keep vital building systems running safely and efficiently, ensuring customers enjoy a high-quality leisure environment every day. Your work will directly support the smooth operation of facilities that bring communities together.

What you’ll do as a Technician
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing, and reactive repairs across building services systems and plant
- Support the safe operation and basic maintenance of swimming pool water systems, including monitoring water quality
- Respond promptly to faults and breakdowns, diagnosing issues and minimising disruption to operations
- Assist with coordinating and overseeing specialist subcontractors, ensuring compliance with site and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records using computer-aided maintenance systems and compliance logs
- Support day-to-day technical operations, helping to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable facility performance

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- A recognised trade qualification or demonstrable hands-on technical experience
- Strong knowledge of health and safety practices within a maintenance or engineering environment
- Experience working with building services systems and plant, ideally within leisure or similar settings
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose faults effectively
- Confidence using digital or computer-based maintenance systems
- A valid UK driving licence
Vetting and checks
This role requires a Basic DBS check, which will disclose any unspent convictions in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
