What you’ll do as a Records Clerk

  • Maintain and update physical and electronic prisoner records, ensuring all information is accurate, secure, and up to date.
  • Manage, store, retrieve, and archive documentation in line with procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Handle and move physical archive boxes and records as part of day-to-day manual handling duties.
  • Process documentation, correspondence, mail, and records requests in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Support the maintenance of audit trails and ensure records are managed in accordance with regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external agencies while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.

Does this sound like you?

  • Strong administration experience with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with data, records, documentation, or compliance-driven administration would be advantageous.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and electronic record management systems.
  • Comfortable carrying out manual handling activities, including moving and handling archive boxes and physical records.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage workloads effectively while maintaining accuracy.
