Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week) 

Salary - £33,000.00 - £43,500.00 depending on experience, plus Serco benefits.

The Technical Officer – Asset & Systems Management is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date building information, including technical drawings, asset data, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) records. The role ensures the effective operation of the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system, supporting compliance, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making across the Estates function.

This role is critical in ensuring that the Estates team has access to reliable data and documentation to support statutory compliance, lifecycle planning, and service delivery.

Main Accountabilities:

Technical Documentation & Drawings:

  • Maintain and update building layout, services, and infrastructure drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Ensure all drawings are version-controlled and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support project teams by providing accurate technical documentation.

 

Asset & PPM Management:

  • Maintain the Estates asset register, ensuring all assets are accurately recorded, tagged, and categorised.
  • Support the development and review of PPM schedules in line with SFG20 and HTM guidance.
  • Ensure all completed PPM tasks are recorded and archived appropriately.

 

CAFM System Administration:

  • Act as the system administrator for the CAFM platform, ensuring data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support compliance, performance monitoring, and planning.
  • Liaise with software providers and IT support to resolve system issues and implement updates.

 

Compliance & Reporting:

 

  • Support statutory compliance by ensuring accurate records are maintained for audits and inspections.
  • Provide data and reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with Estates, Facilities, and Clinical teams to ensure asset and maintenance data meets operational needs.
  • Provide training and support to users of the CAFM system.

 

What you’ll need to do the role:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Building Services, Engineering, or Facilities Management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience managing technical drawings.
  • Experience with CAFM systems (e.g., Planon, Concept, Maximo).
  • Understanding of PPM planning and asset lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with HTMs, SFG20, and statutory compliance in healthcare estates.
  • Strong attention to detail and data management skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
