As a Fitness Instructor in our leisure team, you’ll inspire members to achieve their wellbeing goals, delivering engaging fitness sessions and personalised coaching that creates real, lasting impact.
You’ll help build a welcoming, community-focused environment where every member feels supported on their fitness journey. From onboarding new members to delivering tailored programmes, your work will directly contribute to healthier lifestyles and stronger communities.
What you’ll do as a Fitness Instructor
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Deliver engaging group fitness, small group training, and personalised coaching sessions
- Support members with tailored health and fitness programmes aligned to their goals
- Track member progress, monitor attendance, and adapt programmes to drive results
- Carry out health and fitness assessments, including body composition and cardiovascular testing
- Provide expert guidance on safe and effective use of gym equipment
- Create a clean, safe, and motivating gym environment while delivering excellent customer service
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Level 2 Fitness Instruction (essential) and Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification or willingness to achieve within 12 months
- A strong understanding of fitness programming and coaching techniques
- Passion for helping others achieve their health and wellbeing goals
- Confidence delivering group sessions and engaging with a wide range of members
- A proactive, personable approach with excellent communication skills
Vetting and checks:
An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
