Breakfast Chef

Location: Lilleshall National Sports Centre, TF10 9AT

Salary: £13.35 per hour plus excellent benefits

Schedule: Full-time 39 hours per week. Thursday to Sunday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, with a 1:00pm finish on one day each week. (Breakfast is 0700-1000 and numbers can vary from 10-300 customers depending on trade in that time frame).

As a Breakfast Chef in our Catering team, you’ll deliver a high-quality breakfast service that helps create a positive experience for guests and visitors at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. Your food, care and attention to detail will help set the tone for each day while supporting a welcoming environment where our work touches lives.

From preparing freshly cooked breakfasts to maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation, you’ll play an important role in ensuring every guest receives excellent service. Working closely with the wider kitchen team, you'll help create impactful solutions that support customer satisfaction and contribute to a positive impact on our community of visitors, athletes and guests

 

What you’ll do as a Breakfast Chef

  • Prepare and cook a high-quality hot breakfast service for guests and visitors.
  • Set up, stock and maintain the breakfast counter, ensuring food is presented attractively and replenished throughout service.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control and food temperatures in line with food safety standards.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, health and safety, following Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) procedures and company policies.
  • Support the wider kitchen team with food preparation for lunch, dinner and special events as required.
  • Manage stock rotation, minimise food waste and report equipment faults or maintenance issues when identified.

 

Does this sound like you?

  • Previous experience working as a chef, cook or breakfast chef.
  • Ability to work independently and manage breakfast service efficiently.
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene and food safety practices.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to perform well during busy service periods.
  • A reliable, professional and proactive approach, with a willingness to support colleagues across the kitchen team.
