Schedule: Permanent, Part-Time, 10 hours per week, Saturday & Sunday 1pm to 6pm

As a Receptionist in our Health team, you’ll provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As the first point of contact for many patients, visitors and colleagues, you’ll help people access the information, support and services they need, creating a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

Through excellent customer service, care and attention to detail, you’ll help create a positive impact on communities while supporting patients and visitors during some of their most important moments.
What you’ll do as a Receptionist
- Provide a professional reception service, welcoming visitors, patients and colleagues while responding to enquiries in a courteous and helpful manner
- Direct visitors and relatives to the correct locations across the hospital site and provide accurate information when needed
- Answer internal and external telephone calls, take messages and ensure enquiries are passed on promptly
- Coordinate activities including patient transport bookings, pharmacy drop-offs, lost property management and validation pass distribution
- Maintain accurate records and handle personal information in accordance with data protection requirements and organisational procedures
- Support site safety by reporting hazards, maintaining tidy reception areas and responding appropriately to emergency procedures when required
Does this sound like you?
- Experience delivering excellent customer service in a front-of-house or reception role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with a wide range of people.
- Good IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based systems.
- Organised and professional approach, with the ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- A flexible team player who takes pride in their work and is committed to providing a positive experience for others.

Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
