As an Operations Coordinator in our Sandwell Environmental Services team, you’ll play a key role in keeping our collections service running smoothly. From supporting supervisors and managers to coordinating daily operations, you’ll help ensure everything works efficiently for both colleagues and the community.

 

 

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Support supervisors and managers by coordinating day-to-day operations and staffing needs.
  • Manage holidays, sickness, meeting notes, staffing trackers and operational systems.
  • Collate and prepare reports for both the contract and the client team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with health and safety inspections, audits, and minor complaints.
  • Monitor crew delivery and support with scheduling, overtime, training and development activities.
  • Provide cover for supervisors when required, ensuring service continuity.

  • Excellent communication skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications and confidence in using operational systems.
