Salary: £30,368.08 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday shift times 05:30-14:00 or 14:00-22:30 plus every other weekend Saturday & Sunday 07:30-18:30

As a Duty Manager in our Leisure team, you will be responsible for Health, Safety and Quality, Commercial, and Operations. You’ll lead day-to-day operations at the facility, ensuring every visit is safe, smooth and enjoyable while supporting your team to deliver excellent service.
You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, welcoming environment where communities can stay active and connected. From keeping standards high to responding calmly in challenging situations, your work will make a real difference to people’s wellbeing and experience every day.
What you’ll do as a Duty Manager
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Lead on Health, Safety and Quality, ensuring full compliance with legislation, maintaining safe systems of work, and taking control during incidents and emergencies
- Drive Commercial performance, supporting sales activity, improving member retention and ensuring excellent customer service standards across the facility
- Oversee Operations, including opening and closing the centre, managing rotas and ensuring the smooth delivery of all daily programmes
- Monitor the facility throughout the day, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety and presentation
- Lead, coach and develop colleagues, ensuring they are well-trained, engaged and delivering consistently high performance
- Act as a visible leader on site, building trust with customers and responding positively to feedback, queries and community needs

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Proven experience supervising or managing teams within a leisure, hospitality or operational environment
- A strong understanding of health and safety practices, with the confidence to take the lead in high-pressure or emergency situations
- Commercial awareness with experience supporting sales, customer engagement or service improvement initiatives
- The ability to organise, prioritise and manage multiple operational demands effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to build trust and motivate others
- A proactive, hands-on approach, with pride in maintaining high standards and delivering a great customer experience
- Qualifications: First Aid at Work, Pool Plant Operators (PPO) and National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) are desirable.
Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
