Location: Quarry Swimming & Fitness Centre, Shrewsbury SY1 1RU
Salary:  £12.71 per hour plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Weekends only, working hours Saturday - 1pm - 6.30pm, Sunday 12.00pm - 5.30pm.

As a Cleaner in our Quarry Swimming & Fitness Centre team, you’ll help create welcoming, safe spaces that colleagues, customers and members of the public can rely on every day. Your work keeps our environments running smoothly and helps us maintain the standards our communities trust us for.

You’ll play a key part in creating positive, clean and safe surroundings that support wellbeing and help us deliver a great experience for everyone who uses our facilities.

What you’ll do as a Cleaner

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across designated areas, following agreed schedules and specifications
• Deliver consistent, friendly service to customers and Local Authority clients
• Follow all health and safety procedures to support a strong safety culture
• Work flexibly as part of a team to meet operational needs
• Keep accurate basic records such as timesheets, absence logs or discrepancy reports

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Experience in a similar cleaning role (desirable, not essential)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self‑motivation, good time‑keeping and a reliable approach
• The ability to understand basic health and safety guidance
• A presentable appearance and a commitment to delivering a great service
