Salary: £14.43 per hour

Schedule: Casual contract working a mixture of earlies, lates and weekends.

As a Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment where customers can enjoy health, fitness and leisure activities with confidence. Leading colleagues across the facility, you'll help ensure high standards of service, safety and operational excellence while supporting the Trust's mission to deliver a positive impact on communities. What you’ll do as a Duty Manager

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring activities are delivered safely and to a high standard
• Lead, support and supervise colleagues, ensuring duties are clearly allocated and completed effectively
• Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, taking control of situations to protect customers, colleagues and the facility
• Monitor operational performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using performance data and feedback

Does this sound like you?

• Experience in a similar supervisory or operational role within a leisure, hospitality or customer-focused environment
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support colleagues
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences and maintaining high operational standards
• First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent, with an Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safely qualification desirable

Vetting and checks:

An Enhanced DBS check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
