Ready to impact a better future?

As a Lead Administrator in our Defence team, you’ll play a central role in keeping critical language and cultural assessment services running smoothly. You’ll coordinate workloads, support customers, and help deliver an efficient, responsive administration function that directly supports operational capability.

Your work will have purpose – supporting Defence operations by ensuring the right people are assessed, registered, and ready when needed. From managing key processes to mentoring colleagues, you’ll create a positive impact on service delivery while helping teams perform at their best.

What you’ll do as a Lead Administrator

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Coordinate and control incoming work, ensuring all requests are managed accurately and in a timely way
  • Manage and process applications, ensuring eligibility criteria are met and records are maintained
  • Act as a key point of contact for customers, handling queries via email, phone, and in person
  • Maintain databases, registers, and SharePoint systems to ensure accurate and secure information management
  • Support and mentor administrators or apprentices, helping them grow and develop
  • Organise meetings, manage diaries, and provide general administrative support across the team

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Previous administration experience with strong organisational skills
  • Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders and customers
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and data handling
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive mindset, with the ability to solve problems and adapt to change

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
