Ready to impact a better future?

As a Digital Learning Technologist in our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll take the lead on digital learning, media production, and incell education technology across HMP Dovegate. Your work will ensure people in custody can access highquality learning and support materials that promote skills development, confidence, and rehabilitation.

This role plays a vital part in shaping positive futures. By creating accessible digital content and supporting modern learning pathways, you’ll help improve outcomes, reduce anxiety during induction, and give individuals the tools to grow — making a meaningful difference to both the prison community and society.

What you’ll do as a Digital Learning Technologist

You’ll be entrusted to:

  • Lead digital content production across the prison, including videos, podcasts, induction materials, and virtual walkarounds.

  • Oversee the Independent Learning Hub and support prisoners to create safe, highquality digital content.

  • Manage incell learning technologies and platforms, including TechSTEP and AQA learning units, ensuring all materials are accessible and up to date.

  • Lead the DGTV team, coordinating filming, broadcast content, and digital communication for internal audiences.

  • Collaborate with teachers, curriculum leads, and specialist colleagues to develop elearning and blended learning approaches.

  • Support digital communication for employees, producing videos, briefings, and updates for internal channels.

  • Oversee thirdparty digital content, ensuring platforms, apps, and tools remain relevant, accessible, and appropriate for diverse learning needs.

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

  • Expertise in digital and blended learning, instructional design, and digital content creation in an educational environment.

  • Strong skills in video production, podcasting, and media editing.

  • Experience using learning management systems and incell digital education platforms.

  • The ability to design accessible content for diverse learning styles and needs, including neurodiverse learners.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with confidence supporting both colleagues and learners.

  • This role could be a good fit for someone with experience as an IT technician in a school or college/ university environment
