As an Apprentice Engineer in our Aviation, Space and Technology team, you’ll learn how to provide design and support services while developing hands‑on engineering experience throughout your apprenticeship. Your work will contribute to creating impactful solutions that support critical defence technology and positively influence communities.

You’ll gain real‑world experience while completing your Level 4 Engineering Apprenticeship in Electrical and Electronics Units, supported by colleagues who care about your growth and are committed to helping you build a future you can be proud of.

What you’ll do as an Apprentice Engineer

You’ll be entrusted to:

• Deliver against your Apprenticeship Plan to complete all required modules on time and to a strong standard.
• Work cohesively with the wider engineering and management team to help deliver design, support and service contracts.
• Build relationships with colleagues to support your professional development objectives.
• Develop core engineering skills by gaining experience across different aspects of the role.
• Apply your interest in electronic engineering, design, build and test to real projects.
• Attend College one day a week on day release and be prepared to study in your own time.

Does this sound like you?

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Hold English and Maths GCSE grade A-C/9-4, Level 2 Functional Skills.

• Hold Engineering GCSE grade A-C/9-4, Level 2 Functional Skills.

• Basic knowledge of IT applications, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• The ability to coordinate and complete tasks on time, achieving deadlines and key milestones.
• Clear, confident communication skills to build productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Flexibility to occasionally adapt working hours if required.

You must be eligible to secure and maintain security clearance to the required SC level, which will be performed by Serco for the candidate.
