Location: HMP Fosse Way, Leicester, LE18 4TN
Salary: £32,000 per annum, plus excellent benefits
Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday- Friday 8-4.30 pm

As a Resettlement Co-ordinator in our Justice and Immigration team, you’ll play a key role in helping people prepare for life after custody. You'll coordinate resettlement support, connect prisoners with essential services, and ensure pre-release activities are completed to a high standard, helping individuals overcome barriers and build a more positive future.
This is a role where your work has purpose. By supporting access to accommodation, finance, identification, employment pathways, and community services, you’ll help create positive outcomes for individuals and communities. Working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, you’ll help reduce reoffending, build trust, and create impactful solutions that support rehabilitation and reintegration.
What you’ll do as a Resettlement Co-ordinator
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Deliver daily resettlement support sessions, providing timely and accurate guidance to prisoners on available pathways and services.
- Complete and coordinate Resettlement Additional Policy Process (APP) assessments, ensuring identified needs are recorded and addressed appropriately.
- Support prisoners with finance, banking, identification, accommodation, and other practical resettlement requirements.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, case files, and electronic systems in line with compliance and audit requirements.
- Conduct regular houseblock visits to engage with prisoners, identify emerging needs, and promote available services.
- Work closely with internal departments and external agencies to provide coordinated, person-centred support.
- Support specialist interventions, peer mentoring initiatives, and the effective operation of the Departure Lounge before release.
- Act as a key point of contact for resettlement coordination, ensuring effective communication and information sharing across services.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals or within a custodial, criminal justice, rehabilitation, or resettlement environment- Essential
- An understanding of resettlement pathways, including accommodation, employment, finance, and community reintegration.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience maintaining accurate records and working to compliance standards.
- The ability to work independently while building strong collaborative relationships across teams and partner organisations.
- A genuine commitment to supporting rehabilitative outcomes and reducing reoffending.
- Experience managing a caseload, coordinating referrals, or supporting individuals through release and reintegration would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of prison systems, sentence planning, and release preparation would also be beneficial.
