Salary: £19,882.13 plus excellent benefits (pro-rated)
Schedule: 6 FTC/PT/30 hours per week – 9am3p-3pm Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work (weekend pay enhancements)

As a Housekeeping member in our Defence team, you’ll help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for colleagues, customers and visitors. Your work will support the smooth delivery of operations and ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard every day.

Through care, attention to detail and pride in your work, you’ll help create a positive impact for those who use the facilities while supporting a safe and productive environment.
What you’ll do as a Housekeeping
- Clean walls, floors, furniture and fittings using manual and electrically powered equipment, including dusting, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
- Follow cleaning schedules and service specifications to ensure all designated areas are cleaned to the required standards.
- Maintain bathrooms, bedrooms, offices and external areas, including litter picking and emptying bins.
- Use cleaning equipment and materials safely, following Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations and training.
- Report safety hazards, equipment defects and maintenance issues promptly to management.
- Support colleagues by providing cover in other areas when required and participating in training and team meetings.
Does this sound like you?
- Good basic literacy and numeracy skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements, including COSHH, risk assessments and manual handling.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including some weekends, with a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Vetting and checks:
This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be required to ensure we can offer appropriate support for your wellbeing and performance.
