We are seeking an energetic and motivated Utilities Team Leader to join our expanding Regional Service Centre at Aldershot.
About the Role
Reporting to the Utilities Manager, as a Utilities Team Leader, you will lead a vital administrative function, ensuring utilities services and financial processes are delivered professionally, accurately and on time.
You will manage and develop a team of 3 Utilities Administrators, creating a supportive environment that prioritises safety, wellbeing and high performance. You will provide day-to-day support to the utilities function while overseeing accurate and timely utility bill administration to enable smooth financial processing.
A key aspect of the role will involve managing and rolling out new processes and championing continuous improvement across the team. You will coordinate the rollout of a smart meter installation programme in collaboration with area teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient delivery. Building strong relationships with service providers and internal stakeholders will be essential, as will promoting a consistent, positive and caring customer experience.
What you’ll need
We are looking for a confident and capable leader who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. You will bring proven experience leading a team of administrators and successfully implementing new processes.
It is essential you have a full UK drivers license and form of transport as this site is not accessible by public transport. You must also be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be eligible for this role.
A background in a planned maintenance or similar operational environment is highly desirable. You will be comfortable working accurately under pressure, managing competing priorities and meeting strict timescales.
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail are essential, alongside intermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. You will be able to interpret data, analyse information and produce concise reports that support informed decision-making.
As a leader, you provide timely, constructive feedback and empower your team to perform at their best. You plan effectively, anticipate contingencies and remain focused on delivering excellent customer outcomes.
