We are seeking a Finance Reporting Analyst to play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, insight, and value of financial reporting across our organisation. This is a highly analytical position, offering the opportunity to combine technical accounting knowledge with strong data analysis skills to support operational performance, commercial decision-making, and strategic planning.
In this role, you will take ownership of accrual balances within the Billable Works schedules, ensuring they are correctly stated and aligned with business activities. You will prepare monthly reports and analysis that provide senior stakeholders with clear, reliable management information to support decision-making at pace. To do this effectively, you will build a detailed understanding of our operational processes and how they translate into financial records, taking responsibility for a defined portfolio within VIVO’s management accounts.
Your day-to-day work will involve interrogating data from SAP, Maximo, and supplier systems to analyse balances by causation, and from there, building and developing KPIs and management reporting mechanisms that give real insight into business performance. By continuously reviewing operational outcomes through financial performance, you will highlight risks, opportunities, and drivers of profitability, helping the business to identify areas of strength and improvement.
You will become a trusted partner to the Senior Finance Business Partner, the wider commercial teams, and billable works teams, ensuring revenues and costs are accurately captured and reported. Beyond reporting, you will contribute to strategic initiatives, supporting projects, bids, and change programmes as needed, as well as participating in the preparation and review of statutory accounts.
This is a role where accuracy and compliance are critical, with accountability for ensuring financial records across profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, and forecasts are both reliable and aligned with group reporting standards. You will be a proactive member of the Operations Director’s senior team, attending meetings, building strong cross-departmental relationships, and providing ad hoc analysis to drive business evaluation and strategic planning.
What You'll Bring
We are looking for someone who brings proven data analysis experience within a finance environment, underpinned by strong technical knowledge. A professional accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA would be beneficial, but what matters most is your ability to combine analytical skills with commercial awareness. You should be confident in applying IFRS principles, able to communicate with influence, and comfortable questioning and challenging where appropriate. Strong Excel skills are essential, while experience with Power BI, SAP, or other reporting tools will be highly advantageous.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights, enjoys working at the intersection of finance and operations, and is motivated by the chance to make a real impact across a dynamic and evolving business.
