Keep Operations Moving

VIVO is looking for a highly organised and dependable Storeperson to join the team at RAF Lakenheath. This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring the right materials, tools, equipment and consumables are available when they are needed, helping the wider team deliver an efficient and reliable service.

The Storeperson will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the stores facility, managing the full journey of stock from receipt and inspection through to safe storage, accurate recording, issue and distribution. With a strong eye for detail and a proactive approach, the role will help maintain excellent stock accuracy, protect company assets and ensure operational teams have the resources required to keep essential services running.

Working closely with operational teams, project managers, suppliers and subcontractors, the role will involve coordinating deliveries and collections, monitoring stock levels, investigating discrepancies and arranging the movement of materials between sites and projects where required. Regular stock checks, cycle counts and inventory activities will form an important part of maintaining accurate records and effective inventory control.

Health, safety and compliance are central to the role. The Storeperson will maintain a safe, clean and organised stores environment while ensuring materials, including hazardous substances, are stored and controlled appropriately in line with company procedures, COSHH, manual handling, environmental and legislative requirements.

The role will also support the control of company tools, equipment and assets, maintaining accurate issue and return records and promptly reporting any losses, damage or defects. There will be opportunities to identify improvements, streamline stores processes and introduce best practice that enhances efficiency and inventory accuracy.

What experience is needed?

Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory environment is essential, alongside a good understanding of stock management and inventory control processes.

Confidence using stock control or inventory management systems, strong Microsoft Office skills and a good understanding of Health & Safety requirements are also important.

Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail are key to success in this position, alongside the ability to prioritise workloads, solve problems and communicate effectively with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. A customer-focused approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.

Experience with Maximo or a similar asset management system would be advantageous, as would knowledge of Defence, MOD, facilities management or construction environments and experience supporting multiple operational sites.

Make an impact with VIVO

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Storeperson to join a team where effective stores management directly supports the delivery of essential services. From maintaining accurate inventory to ensuring critical materials are available at the right time, this role plays an important part in keeping operations moving at RAF Lakenheath.

If organisation, accuracy and operational excellence are strengths, this could be the next opportunity to build a rewarding career with VIVO.
