Are you ready to take your expertise in water treatment and legionella control to the next level? Do you want to be part of a highly skilled team supporting one of the most important Defence sites in the UK? If so, this is your chance to join VIVO Defence Services, a dynamic joint venture between Serco and Engie, delivering vital infrastructure, asset and facilities management services to the UK Defence Sector.

At VIVO, you’ll play a key role in maintaining safe and compliant water systems across RAF Lakenheath and the surrounding area. Every day brings new challenges, and your work will directly contribute to the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of our military communities.

About the Role:

In this role, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance and statutory water treatment tasks across multiple sites. You will clean, monitor and disinfect water systems to ensure safety and compliance with JSP375 and ACop L8. You will service TMVs, take water samples, and complete compliance activities to the highest standard.

Working independently, you will use your judgement to find the right repair solutions and record all tasks via PDA, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely. A strong commitment to health and safety is essential, and you will contribute to risk assessments, RAMS, COSHH and RIDDOR compliance.

You will also support apprentices by sharing your knowledge and liaise with the End User (Military), DIO and VIVO supply chain to keep operations running smoothly.

What you’ll need;

To be successful, you will need to be a qualified Water Hygiene Engineer or Plumber with NVQ/SNVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing/Heating, or have significant experience in the plumbing, heating, or water treatment industry. You must have experience in water treatment, hold relevant water hygiene qualifications (City & Guilds or Water Management Society), and have hands-on skills in water sampling, TMV servicing, and water system clean/disinfection.

You will also be Legionella ACop L8 trained, have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations, hold a full UK driving licence, and be able to achieve Security Clearance (SC).

It would be an advantage if you have experience working on mechanical assets in a commercial or MOD environment, hold First Aid or Health & Safety accreditations, or are a member of a professional body.

Ready to make an impact? Apply today and take the next step in your engineering career with VIVO Defence Services.
