VIVO has an exciting opportunity for an organised, motivated and people-focused Repairs Supervisor to join its growing team in Lyneham. This role sits at the heart of the Housing Maintenance service and is critical to ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient delivery of responsive repairs across accommodation within the UK Defence estate.

Reporting directly to the VIVO Delivery Manager, and working with another Repairs Supervisor, you will take ownership of the day-to-day operational delivery of a diverse and technically complex responsive repairs service. You will provide strong, visible leadership to a multi-disciplinary workforce, ensuring staff are supported, motivated and effective in their roles. The position requires proven experience of managing technical and compliance-led property maintenance services within a contractual environment.

The role involves managing productivity, performance and quality across all workstreams, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and supply chain partners to deliver operational, financial and customer targets in line with business plans and service level agreements. A key part of the role is monitoring performance indicators, job volumes and trade output to ensure maximum efficiency, while proactively troubleshooting issues and implementing best practice to reduce waste and downtime.

You will be responsible for managing a directly employed team consisting of electricians, plumbers, roofers and a labourer, as well as overseeing subcontractors where required. Regular site audits will be undertaken to ensure compliance with health and safety standards, quality requirements, fire safety obligations and customer service expectations. The role also includes delivering toolbox talks, site inductions, supporting performance management, and acting as the first point of contact for out-of-hours escalation.

What you’ll need;

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, exceptional communication skills, pride in their work, integrity, innovation and a caring approach to leadership. You will be an experienced supervisor of a team of operatives, and it is desirable that you have a strong understanding of health and safety, regulatory compliance and British Standards, and confident in managing multi-trade teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

You will ideally hold an HNC or equivalent level of qualification or experience, alongside a Level 2 Diploma or NVQ in a relevant maintenance trade. Strong IT capability, experience of contract management and schedules of rates, and a clear commitment to customer service are desirable.

Formal or practical training in areas such as permit to work systems, risk assessments and method statements is highly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a new and ambitious organisation at an early stage of its journey, where you will have real influence over service delivery and the chance to build a high-performing team that makes a meaningful difference to people’s homes and lives within the UK Defence community.

We offer;

  • Work van & fuel card
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • 6% employee matched pension contribution
