What we do
We put our Customers and Families First. They are the driving force behind everything we do. We drive forward improvements for them to ensure the service they receive, whether reactive repairs or a major project, is completed safely and on time. In order to achieve this, we have 4 core values: open, caring, agile and collaborative. These are at the heart of everything we do.
Location: Home based, to cover the South West region, from Gloucester to the South Coast.
Permanent, Full time
Salary: £42,000 - £48,000
Join us as a Performance Manager and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across the BE South West contract. This is a highly visible position where you'll be responsible for turning performance insight into meaningful action, ensuring service delivery meets contractual commitments and customer expectations. Working closely with operational teams, senior leaders, DIO representatives and specialist support functions, you'll coordinate performance activity, identify risks and opportunities, and drive accountability across the contract.
You'll act as the key link between Operational Insight and delivery teams, translating complex performance data into clear priorities and practical actions. From coordinating monthly and quarterly customer reporting, supporting contract governance and performance meetings, and leading continuous improvement initiatives, to providing insight on billable works performance, you'll ensure the organisation has a clear understanding of operational performance and the actions required to achieve successful outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware and analytically minded professional who enjoys working across multiple stakeholders, influencing positive change and making a measurable impact on service delivery. If you're passionate about performance improvement, data-driven decision making and building strong customer relationships, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Bring
You'll be degree qualified in business, operations, performance management or a related discipline, or able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience. A qualification in performance management, continuous improvement or project delivery would be advantageous.
You'll have proven experience of managing operational performance and delivering against challenging KPIs within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. You'll be confident compiling high-quality performance reports, management packs and customer submissions within fixed governance and reporting deadlines, and skilled at turning analysis and insight into clear operational actions and improvement priorities.
You'll bring experience of developing and coordinating recovery, rectification and continuous improvement plans, along with the ability to build productive relationships with senior stakeholders, customers and operational teams. Experience within Defence, facilities management, infrastructure or another regulated service environment would be beneficial, as would exposure to billable works or similar operational delivery processes.
You will possess strong performance management capability with the judgement to assess operational impact, identify risks and determine effective actions. Your written communication and presentation skills will enable you to produce clear, accurate and engaging reports for senior leaders and customers, while your stakeholder management skills will help you influence, challenge constructively and drive accountability across the business.
A strong organiser, you'll be comfortable managing multiple reporting cycles and priorities simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. You'll have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and reporting tools, together with a practical understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, benefits tracking and performance recovery.
Most importantly, you'll be operationally focused, evidence-led and committed to delivering results. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, demonstrate credibility with stakeholders at all levels and bring the confidence to challenge performance constructively while maintaining momentum and focus on achieving successful outcomes.
