Resourcer Restart – West Midlands 

 

Restart – Home based – however, frequent travel to multiple sites is expected. 

 

Full time – 37.5 hours per week 

Salary £27,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience, plus Serco Benefits. 

Main Purpose: 

The Resourcer is responsible for screening and participant candidates and learners for roles and training opportunities sourced by the Strategic Account Managers (SAM) and Account Managers (AM). The Resourcer will work closely with the SAM and AM to ensure that the candidates meet specific requirements and contribute to effective vacancy / opportunity fulfilment. This role is critical in aligning candidates skills and readiness with employer needs, enhancing placement success and contributing to the overall performance objectives of Serco’s Employment, Skills and Training (EST) function. 

Main Accountabilities: 

  • Candidate Screening and Preparation: Screen candidates for roles and training opportunities, assessing qualifications, skills and previous to ensure suitability to employers needs. Provide constructive feedback, advice and guidance to candidates to prepare them for interviews, training and job expectations.  

  • Collaboration: To work closely with SAM and AM to understand specific opportunity requirement and to work with internal and external stakeholders (ie Restart, Housing Associations etc) to ensure a sufficient stream of candidates / learners to meet demand.  

  • Relationship Management: Engage and build relationships with SAM, AM and candidates to ensure satisfaction throughout the full recruitment journey. Provide feedback to candidates on application status, including constructive feedback with areas for improvement and available training and resourcers available. Maintain candidate engagement and readiness for future opportunities if they are not suitable for current opportunities.  

  • Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately record candidate screening outcomes and progress in RITA. Track screening metrics and report regularly on screening volumes, pass rates and other relevant KPI’s. Use data to identify trends and areas for improvement in the candidate / learner screening process.  

  • Continuous Improvement: Gather and apply feedback from SAM and Ams to improve screening processes and enhance candidate quality. Stay updated on industry trends, role requirements and emerging skills to effectively assess candidate / learner suitability. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase screening efficiency and effectiveness. 

 

What you will need for the role: 

  • Proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or candidate screening, preferably in high volume or an employability environment.  

  • Familiarity with the skills and qualifications required across various roles, industries and training programmes.  

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with candidates / learners and assessing their suitability.  

  • Excellent organisational skills to manage high volumes of candidates and meet quick turnaround times.  

  • Ability to work collaboratively with SAM and AM and maintain high levels of attention to detail.  

 

  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other recruitment software for data entry, racing and reporting.  

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a focus on meeting targets and deadlines.  

  • An understanding of the skills and employability sector, including current trends, challenges and opportunities  

  • Ability to use own initiative, working independently and as part of a team.  

  • Highly computer literate (MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). · Demonstrates a flexible and professional approach to work. · Maintains confidentiality and gives and receives constructive criticism.  

  • Proactively identifies and solves problems.  

  • Maintains high standards of quality and accuracy and follows procedures accurately and reliably.
