Ready to take the lead in a fast-growing, purpose-driven organisation?

We are looking for a highly organised, motivated, and people-focused Voids Supervisor to join the VIVO team. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality housing services that directly support families across the UK Defence estate.

About the Role

As a Voids Supervisor, you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of void property maintenance, ensuring homes are ready, safe, and welcoming for new occupants. You will lead from the front, coordinating teams, managing contractors, and driving performance to meet key targets while delivering a “family first” service.

Reporting to the VIVO Delivery Manager and working within a team of 4 Void Supervisors you will be central to maintaining high standards, improving processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction remains at the heart of everything delivered.

The role operates across a small number of localised patches, all within approximately 30 to 40 minutes of each other, with workloads varying between areas depending on demand.

You will manage the day-to-day void maintenance operations, ensuring effective planning, organisation, and problem-solving across all activities. A key responsibility will be ensuring that all properties meet move-in standards and achieve monthly KPI targets, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

The role involves managing subcontractors and ensuring high standards of quality and service delivery. You will carry out joint inspections with service partners as well as work-in-progress inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

Building strong working relationships with clients, including the DIO, and other stakeholders will be essential. You will also contribute to the development of the service and support individuals to achieve a highly organised and effective operational delivery.

Additional responsibilities include liaising with utility companies to resolve meter issues, working collaboratively with colleagues to meet customer, operational, and financial targets, and supporting performance management of the supply chain alongside the Delivery Manager. The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours escalation rota and requires confidence in handling issues, making decisions, and working closely with stakeholders and contractors to resolve challenges effectively.

What We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have strong organisational skills and the ability to work on their own initiative. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a customer-focused and collaborative approach. You should be confident using IT systems and hold a full, clean driving licence.

You must be able to pass BPSS Clearance to be eligible for this role.

Experience within the housing sector, void maintenance, or a trade background would be beneficial. Previous experience managing contractors or team performance is desirable, as is project coordination or management experience.

Health and safety knowledge would be advantageous, although training will be provided where required. Relevant housing or trade qualifications are also beneficial.
