Job Introduction

TII is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to support the development, integration, and testing of Spacecraft Electric Propulsion (SEP) systems. The role focuses on Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), propulsion subsystem diagnostics, and verification activities. The ideal candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure compliance with requirements and space standards (e.g., ECSS, NASA).

The closing date for applications is 20 May.

Key Responsibilities

  • EGSE & MGSE Management: Design, develop and maintain Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) used to power, control and monitor Spacecraft Electric Propulsion (SEP) Thrusters.
  • EP Diagnostics and Measurement System Design & Integration: Design and implement diagnostic and measurement-control chains, selecting appropriate sensors, integrating and configuring data acquisition (DAQ) hardware. Development of software to power, monitor and control diagnostic systems.
  • Diagnostics Integration & Harnessing: Lead the physical installation of plasma and vacuum chamber diagnostics; manage complex cable routing and EMI/EMC shielding.
  • AIT: Support Assembly, Integration and Testing (AIT) of propulsion subsystems, including power processing units (PPUs), thrusters, and control electronics.
  • Calibration, Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Develop calibration procedures and perform regular maintenance to ensure equipment meets accuracy requirements and industry standards. Diagnose and repair faulty instrumentation on-site, providing root-cause analysis for measurement errors or system failures.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed technical records, including system specifications, operating procedures, and calibration certificates.
