This is a full-time opportunity that operates on a 7 day rotating roster including both day & night shifts.

As a Facility Operations Manager (Security and Operations) in the Adelaide Remand Centre team, you’ll make a positive impact by leading correctional officer teams to deliver high standards of security and operational outcomes.

You will work in a dynamic, complex environment overseeing teams across emergency response, control room, visits, and more.

As a Facility Operations Manager, you’ll make a positive impact by:

  • Leading and managing all security and operations staff to maintain high standards across dynamic, static, and procedural security areas.
  • Ensuring all centre security procedures are adhered to through audits and inspections.
  • Coordinating emergency responses and maintaining readiness in line with contract requirements.
  • Overseeing the management of control rooms, visits, screening, reception, and medical-related security operations.
  • Supporting team development, conducting annual reviews, and managing performance issues appropriately.

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

  • Certificate III Correctional practice (CSC30115)
  • Experience in a senior line management role in prisons, detention centre or similar institutional environment
  • Sound knowledge of modern correctional practices
  • Sound knowledge of the Work Health & Safety
  • Sound knowledge f the criminal justice system and relevant legislative provisions
  • Demonstrate the highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
