As the General Manager of Adelaide Remand Centre (ARC), you’ll lead the strategic direction and daily operations of a high-profile facility. You’ll provide clear and compassionate leadership while driving best practice in safety, security and rehabilitation. Working closely with Government partners and community groups, your role will help shape a more positive future for those in custody and the teams who support them. This is a unique opportunity to bring your vision, empathy and operational strength to an essential public service.

As the General Manager in the Justice team, you’ll make a positive impact by:

• Leading and inspiring a high-performing multidisciplinary team

• Managing contract performance and maintaining full compliance

• Ensuring safety, security and rehabilitation programs are prioritised

• Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder and community relations

• Overseeing financial performance and resource allocation

• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning

• Senior management experience in corrections, immigration, or similar settings

• Strong understanding of correctional operations, legislation and best practice

• Proven ability to lead with integrity, empathy and inclusive leadership

• Experience developing others with a focus on building capable, confident teams

• High-level commercial and contractual acumen with strong planning skills

• A degree in criminology, psychology, management or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
