This is a permanent part-time opportunity (32 hours per week) working Monday to Thursday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm at Amberley Health Centre.

About the Health Centre

Amberley Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Amberley, the largest Air Force base in Australia, approximately 50 minutes from Brisbane. The centre delivers healthcare services to more than 6,500 RAAF members and provides primary medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and mental health services.

What you’ll do

  • Keep the clinic running smoothly by providing fast, accurate, and professional clerical and administrative support to health staff and patients
  • Manage electronic and hard copy health records and data in accordance with Defence policies, privacy requirements, and compliance standards
  • Coordinate appointments and liaise effectively with internal and external health service providers to support continuity of care and timely access to patient information
  • Support day-to-day clinic operations through filing, mail distribution, photocopying, ordering stationery and stores, and processing supply requests

What you bring

  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) experience in an administrative role (medical administration experience highly desirable)
  • Completion of a Medical Terminology course from a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or willingness to complete one
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Australian Citizenship (required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance)
