Location: Covering the North West – predominantly Preston, Merseyside, and Wigan
Join Serco in supporting one of the UK’s most vital public services. On behalf of the Home Office, Serco delivers the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) in the North West. We ensure vulnerable asylum seekers receive safe, secure accommodation and the essential items they need to begin rebuilding their lives.
We're looking for a motivated and physically capable individual to join our team. You will ensure the safe transportation of passengers, furniture, and rubbish clearances and ensure the vehicle is maintained in line with the company policy and procedures and report any defects.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Delivering and installing white goods, furniture, and household items to properties

Assembling furniture and fitting appliances in line with safety standards

Removing and decommissioning broken or outdated appliances and waste

Collaborating with a supportive and dedicated team

Travelling throughout the North West, with a focus on Preston, Merseyside, and Wigan
- Drive company assigned vehicles as required complying with statutory regulations and company policies and procedures to ensure safe practices.
- Ensure that the welfare and care of passengers and their dependent Children being transported is maintained to a consistently high standard, ensuring their moral and legal rights are observed and the constant care of their property is undertaken.
What You’ll Need:

Full UK driving licence (Category B)

Good geographical knowledge of the North West

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Forms)

A flexible attitude and willingness to travel long distances
-
Experience with installing white goods is an advantage but not essential—full training provided
