- Understand statutory thresholds and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Work closely with internal teams including Operations, Risk & Security, and Complex Case Managers.
- Ensure continuity of safeguarding support when service users relocate.
Service User Support & Advocacy
- Provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable individuals.
- Develop and review tailored support and risk management plans.
- Advocate on behalf of service users, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Facilitate access to external agencies and specialist services.
- Maintain accurate, confidential records of interactions and outcomes.
Case Management & Reporting
- Gather and analyse information from various sources to produce detailed case reports and referrals.
- Contribute to safeguarding assessments and multi-agency planning.
- Investigate and respond to complaints, identifying learning opportunities.
- Provide management data to support monitoring and review activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Represent Serco AASC at meetings with statutory and third-sector partners.
- Deliver safeguarding updates at internal area meetings.
- Support the Partnership Team in delivering safeguarding events and initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Community Engagement & Workload Management
- Maintain awareness of local community services and initiatives relevant to service users.
- Participate in regional events and contribute to safeguarding awareness activities.
- Manage workload effectively, ensuring timely and appropriate safeguarding responses.
What you will need to do the role:
- Strong experience in identifying and managing risks involving vulnerable individuals in a non-statutory setting.
- Solid understanding of safeguarding principles, legislation, and escalation pathways for both adults and children.
- Proven experience working collaboratively with multi-agency safeguarding partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
- Analytical and confident decision-making skills in complex safeguarding scenarios.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Background in asylum support, housing, or social care.
- Knowledge of:

- The role of UKVI, local authorities, and third-sector partners in the safeguarding landscape.
