Salary: Upto £26,000.00 per annum depending on experience, OT available + Excellent Benefits


We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Night Porter who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests. The ideal candidate will ensure high standards of hygiene throughout the building while also providing excellent customer service during the night. This role includes deputising for the Night Duty Manager when required and managing late check-ins to ensure a smooth overnight operation.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors to maintain a clean and presentable environment
  • Clean commercial areas, including emptying rubbish bins, servicing toilets, and sanitising communal surfaces
  • Undertake deep-cleaning tasks as required
  • Keep outside walkways clear and free of debris
  • Report any required repairs or maintenance issues to building management
  • Safely mix, handle, and dispose of cleaning chemicals
  • Deputise for the Night Duty Manager when needed, delivering excellent customer service
  • Manage late accommodation check-ins and support guests throughout the night
  • Respond quickly to issues, reporting or escalating as appropriate
  • Communicate effectively with both night and day teams to ensure continuity of service

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Capability to walk, bend, push, pull, and lift repeatedly during working hours
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and correct storage and disposal methods
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and identify tasks proactively
