We are hiring a Business Analyst for the EU Commission in Brussels, Belgium, and various locations around Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Typical tasks of a BAN includes:
- Analysis of Business requirements.
- Documentation of Business requirements.
- Business model analysis.
- Business process analysis.
- Business processes modelling
- Functional requirements and business cases analysis.
- Risk analysis
- Assistance in Business cases, Vision documents, Project Charters and Security Plans.
Following tasks will also be performed by external service provider:
- Provision of technical evaluations and audit reports in relation with workflow management systems infrastructure;

Manage and coordinate the service desk to end-users for the running-in of the information
systems, in close co-operation with the system supplier; Provide support, manage access
and when required, perform manual actions for SFC 2007, EFFONT and SFC 2014;

Monitor that MARE instance for information system is operational during agreed SLA and
reports and take action for incidents;

Define and validate new processes and functionalities;

Train and coach end-users concerning the use of the information system;

Write/review/update user documentation for information system; update training material
and operations;

Give feedback to the development teams about the quality of the information system;

Prepare/update/maintain reports on the execution of the EMFF.
Knowledge & Skills
-
Deep knowledge in workflow management systems used in the European
Commission such as WAVE, WFF, etc.

Some knowledge of EC financial systems (such as ABAC), financial regulations
and demonstrated experience working with EU institutions

Coordination and management of Service desk support, including proven
interaction with final users and development teams

Validation of information systems

Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability
and experience in working in team;

Ability to participate in multilingual meetings;

Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects;

Excellent Team Player

Ability to understand, speak and write English, French, Spanish (level C1)
Specific Expertise
Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
- EFF and EMFF Operational programmes (at least 9 years)
