We are currently seeking a Data Warehouse/BI Architect to join our team supporting the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium, as well as in other locations across Europe. The position is open to both employees and freelance contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and maintenance of Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW) and complex Business Intelligence solutions (Data Lakes / Data Lakehouses)
  • Designing architectures both in the cloud and on-premises (whether hosted, on-premises, or hybrid environments)
  • Gathering business requirements
  • Designing ETL processes
  • Data virtualization
  • Data modelling
  • Design and development of reporting applications
  • Physical database design
  • Database performance analysis
  • Design of data quality and health monitoring processes
  • Elaboration of test programs
  • Writing technical documentation
  • Assistance with system deployment and configuration
  • Participation in meetings with other project teams

  • Hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimising data warehouse solutions
  • At least 13 years of specific expertise in SQL
  • At least 9 years of specific expertise in data processing analysis
  • At least 9 years of specific expertise in ETLT
  • At least 8 years of specific expertise in Oracle
  • At least 7 years of specific expertise in ETL
  • At least 6 years of specific expertise in data modelling
  • At least 12 years of specific expertise in Apache Tomcat
  • At least 12 years of specific expertise in Unix
  • At least 12 years of specific expertise in Windows
  • At least 4 years of specific expertise in data warehousing
  • At least 4 years of specific expertise in OLAP
  • At least 4 years of specific expertise in SQL Server
  • At least 3 years of specific expertise in Apache
