We are hiring a QA Specialist for the EU Commission in Brussels, Belgium, and various locations around Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional testing across complex systems.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test scenarios and test scripts.
• Conduct integration testing and end‑to‑end testing.
• Analyse test results and produce structured, clear reporting.
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams for integration test execution.
• Prepare and validate test data, including SQL-based checks.
• Track, manage, and follow up defects using standard test management tools.
• Ensure correct usage of test management tools (e.g. Jira, Zephyr, Mantis, Bugzilla).
• Adapt test cases and strategies when requirements evolve.
• Support UAT activities: planning, coordination, and follow-up.
• Communicate risks, progress, and blockers effectively to stakeholders.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• Strong experience with manual functional testing (10+ years).
• Expertise in test planning & test case design (10+ years).
• Creation of test scenarios and scripts.
• Integration & End‑to‑End testing (5–10 years).
• Experience testing complex / interconnected systems (5–10 years).
• Solid understanding of test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, Mantis, Bugzilla, etc.).
• Experience with defect tracking tools (5–10 years).
• Ability to execute or validate automated test outputs when provided (1–5 years).
• Strong test data preparation skills (5–10 years).
• SQL for data validation and query‑based testing (1–5 years).
• Knowledge of ISTQB-aligned testing methodologies (10+ years).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and team‑player mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
• Strict respect for confidentiality and handling of personal data.

Specific Expertise

• Mastery of manual testing methodologies and processes (10+ years).
• Advanced Test Planning, Test Case Design, and Test Strategy adjustment.
• Integration testing leadership & coordination experience (5–10 years).
• Strong experience with test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, Mantis, Bugzilla).
• Expertise in Test Result Analysis & Reporting.
• Proficiency in SQL for data validation.
• Experience testing complex, interconnected multi‑system environments.
• Strong capability to manage testing across multiple processes simultaneously.
• Experience in planning and coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
