We are hiring a Solution Architect for the EEAS in Brussels, Belgium and various locations around Europe.
Security Clearance: EU secret clearance is Mandatory
Main Responsibilities
- Translate operational and capability requirements into secure and compliant IT solutions.
- Design multi-domain architectures across classified and unclassified environments.
- Align architecture with defence-specific frameworks (e.g. Federated Mission Networking (FMN),MAGERIT, NAF).
- Lead architectural decisions for command-and-control, secure communications systems and accredited wide area networks.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including military and civil program leads.
- Ensure interoperability with legacy systems.
- Collaborate closely with SOC and NOC and follow up procedures such as RFC.
- Produce solution architectures from several viewpoints and aspects, technical roadmaps, and integration plans.
- Support system accreditation, risk assessments, and security audits.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in enterprise or solution architecture, ideally within defence, aerospace.
- Strong understanding of TOGAF, ArchiMate and service-oriented architectures.
- Ability to move between detailed infrastructure designs to capability and higher-level solution building blocks designs.
- Familiarity in container-based and virtualization architecture.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of French or other official languages is an asset.
- Able to collaborate between different projects and requirements in an agile way.
- Have the mindset to pick-up new requirements and learn new technologies for the purposes of providing the needed solution.
Preferred Certifications/ Experience
- TOGAF / ArchiMate / Federated Mission Networking (FMN), NAF
- ITIL, PRINCE2 or PMI for project involvement
- Experience working in classified environments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
