We are hiring a Training & Documentation Officer for the EEAS in Brussels, Belgium and various locations around Europe.The position is subject to EU Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, update, and edit user manuals and related documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of content.
  • Manage multiple documentation projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving requirements and dynamic project timelines.
  • Develop stakeholder communications materials, including leaflets, newsletters, and promotional content.
  • Support the preparation and drafting of a wide range of communications (e.g., emails, programme/project updates, internal and external communications, presentations).
  • Contribute to the standardization of communication formats, templates, and processes.
  • Work independently across all phases of the document development lifecycle, from planning to publication.
  • Perform editing and proofreading activities, including participation in peer reviews.
  • Apply corporate quality standards, policies, and style guidelines to all deliverables.
  • Ensure consistency across documents, verifying the accuracy of references, footnotes, captions, and formatting.
  • Prepare and deliver conventional (instructor-led) training on information and communication systems, from development through delivery.
  • Develop and publish e-learning training materials on information and communication systems.
  • Coordinate training activities, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor and follow up on training outcomes and effectiveness.

Skills

Candidates must have experience working as a Training and Documentation Officer within defence, government, or financial sector organizations.
