Here at More Community Leisure Trust our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join the centre.
The Sales Manager will support the business to generate income by hitting monthly sales and retention targets. Answering directly to the Facilities Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of the sales process. You will work with local companies to generate income as well as other relevant local opportunities. You will attend events with the purpose of generating leads for the business and keep on top of industry trends and report on any opportunities for growth.
Duties
- To ensure that all customers are dealt with correctly and in a timely fashion.
- To complete tours of the facility in an attempt to close sales.
- To work alongside the gym team to ensure annual renewals are completed.
- To drive growth of the swim scheme by managing enquiries and generating leads.
- To link with the marketing teams and drive monthly marketing campaigns and generate leads
- To plan and implement outreach events to help create new leads
- To manage the data base ensuring all company procedures are followed
- Undertake any other duties as required within the Centre as directed by your line manager

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
About You
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff at Buckinghamshire Leisure, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when needed.
To be considered for this role you should be able to demonstrate a level of experience and knowledge within the Sales industry.
The Sales Manager should be able to demonstrate skills commensurate with the position in:
- Excellent customer care and communication skills
- The ability to communicate clearly
- Good mathematical skill set and comfortable working in understanding and interpreting team KPI’s to deliver the required sales targets
- Good time Management.
- Self-motivation.
- Conflict Resolution.
It is desirable that you hold first aid at work certificate, however this is not essential as full training will be provided.
