Key Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

You’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, high-performance network and communication systems across EUMETSAT’s headquarters and remote sites — from Germany to Svalbard and beyond. Your work will directly support current and future satellite programmes, ensuring data flows securely and reliably across continents.

Your work will include:

• Leading the design and deployment of enterprise VPN and ZTNA solutions (e.g., Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto GlobalProtect).
• Managing DDI services (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) using tools like BIND or BlueCat Integrity.
• Integrating Cisco ISE, RADIUS/TACACS+, and enterprise authentication systems (e.g., SAML, Kerberos, Entra ID, Active Directory).
• Building and maintaining custom monitoring solutions using SolarWinds, NetBrain, SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow.
• Developing and integrating monitoring dashboards using SQL and scripting.
• Supporting enterprise Wi-Fi and 802.1X infrastructure.
• Automating operations with Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Administering Linux systems and applying NetDevOps practices.
• Managing PKI, X.509 certificates, and certificate lifecycle processes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting solutions for knowledge sharing.
  
  
  

Skills

What you will bring

You’re not just technically skilled, you’re curious, collaborative, and driven by purpose. You have:

• Extensive experience with DDI solutions (e.g., BIND, BlueCat).
• Deep knowledge of Cisco ISE, RADIUS/TACACS+, and enterprise authentication.
• Proven ability to build and manage network monitoring systems.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, PowerShell).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, and network security.
• Experience with VPN, ZTNA, and Wi-Fi/802.1X technologies.
• Strong Linux administration and NetDevOps capabilities.
• Familiarity with PKI and certificate management.
