As a Mission Controller, your work ensures the safety and success of satellite missions, providing continuity of service to users across Europe. Every command you execute, every anomaly you correct, contributes directly to the advancement of meteorological and space operations that impact millions.

The Mission

Your mission is to operate, monitor, and maintain mission control systems, safeguarding the space segment and ground infrastructure. You will work collaboratively to ensure smooth operations while responding swiftly to challenges, making a real impact in the world of space exploration and weather observation.

What you’ll do

  • Operate on a 24/7 shift basis across mission control systems, including ground and space segments
  • Configure and test operational systems to support mission operations
  • Take corrective action in case of anomalies, following approved contingency procedures
  • Contribute to operations-related activities, such as system or procedure development and maintenance

What You'll Bring

  • Experience with computer systems and PC literacy
  • Adaptability, self-discipline, and the ability to remain calm under stress
  • Flexibility to work a shift rota, including nights
  • A collaborative mindset, able to integrate within a small operations team
  • Technical knowledge or a BSc in IT, Telecommunications, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
  • Ex-military personnel: background in Avionics, Air Defence, Air Radar, Communications, or relevant technical experience
