  • Develop and maintain automated and unattended installations, system images and deployment processes, ensuring they remain reliable and reproducible.
  • Manage centralised offline patching and software updates for systems operating without direct internet access.
  • Package applications in MSI, NuGet and EXE formats and automate manual deployment activities using scripting and configuration management.
  • Extend Ansible automation and CI/CD pipelines across the Windows environment, aligning processes with the Linux side of the team.
  • Work with external suppliers and development teams to define effective software packaging, deployment and handover practices.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Windows systems within a distributed, mixed-platform environment, documenting solutions and improving operational processes.

Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows administration, software packaging, build or deployment engineering; 8+ years for expert-level roles.
  • Strong PowerShell skills, with deep practical knowledge of Windows Registry and Active Directory.
  • Experience with automated/unattended OS installation and centralised offline patch management using WSUS, Intune or similar technologies.
  • Hands-on experience packaging software using MSI, NuGet and EXE, with knowledge of Git, GitLab or Subversion.
  • Experience with Ansible, build and deployment tooling, software configuration management and change management.
  • Good understanding of networking, TCP/IP services, distributed applications and VMware.
  • Practical security experience, including system hardening, secure protocols and vulnerability testing.
  • Experience working in a large-scale, 24/7 production environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.
  • Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.

Nice to have:
