Your Opportunity

We are looking for Environment, Health and Safety Officer to monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with the approved HSE plan and local safety regulations.  Acting as the client’s Safety representative on site. An ideal candidate should carry out all the safety rules to ensure compliance with business standards.

 

Key accountabilities

  • Observe and evaluate implementation of safety procedures by the contractor.
  • Conduct joint site safety inspections with contractor safety personnel.
  • Raise non-compliance reports (NCRs) or safety observations when necessary.
  • Review and approve HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements submitted by the
  • contractor.
  • Ensure that necessary permits (e.g., hot work, confined space entry) are in place and properly followed.
  • Review contractor's incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, and correspondence.
  • Prepare daily/weekly HSE monitoring reports.
  • Provide input to progress meetings and report on HSE performance.
  • Attend safety coordination meetings with the contractor and client representatives.
  • Communicate observed safety deficiencies and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents, accidents, and near misses.
  • Verify contractor's incident reports and monitor the implementation of corrective/preventive measures.

 

Specific requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Recognized certification (NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, ISO 45001 Auditor, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including working in a live airport environment
  • Ability to write professional reports and escalate critical HSE issues effectively.
