Your Opportunity  

We are looking for a Kitchen Steward to provide effective supervision and leadership of the stewarding services for the Contract.

The ideal candidate should have the ability to multi-task and manage various tasks, and good communication. Excellent organisation, time management and prioritizing skills. 

This role will be based in our MELABS Contract in Dubai.  

Key Accountabilities

• Assist the Catering Management and catering team in carrying out all aspects of cleaning and stewarding activities as required 
• Assignment of duties for the stewards and cleaning teams, monitor and supervise that tasks carried out meet the required standards and procedures. 
• Assist with set up and service during VIP visits and any functions at external locations within the base 
• Ensure that you operate in accordance with all company quality system procedures 
• Ensure that correct portion control is adhered to at all times 
• Minimise food wastage by correct use of HACCP controlled recovery procedures 
• Ensure that international standards of food hygiene and HACCP are followed at all times 

Specific Requirements

• Ideally a High school diploma in any related discipline. 
• Basic Knowledge in Food hygiene
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing methodologies
• Basic understanding of food hygiene requirements
• Possess good communication skills
• Possess organisational skills and the ability to manage a small team completing multiple tasks
• To be able to work efficiently and productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Basic understanding of word and excel
