Your Opportunity

We are looking for MEP CAD Draughtsman candidate to possess proficiency in CAD drafting and experience in MEP drawings. This position will involve creating, updating & combining mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings, working closely with System engineers, contractors & and other Business Unit engineers to ensure that the drawings are accurate, efficient, and meet all regulatory requirements.

The role will be based in Dubai Airports.

Key accountabilities

• Update & combine detailed MEP drawings using AutoCAD, including layout plans, schematics, and diagrams for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. 
• Ensure that MEP drawings are precise, fully aligned with T&GIS drawing standard (coordinate system, drawing naming convention, file name, layer structure etc) and comply with all Dubai Airports and local standards. 
• Update and revise drawings as needed based on site modifications. 
• Work closely with T&GIS team, System engineers and other related professionals to ensure MEP drawings are prepared correctly. 
• Participate in progress review meetings to provide input, feedback and suggestions for improvement to MEP drawings. 
• Ensure that all drawings changes are communicated effectively to other team members and maintain accurate records. 
• Ensure MEP drawings adhere to local regulations, industry standards, and Dubai Airports’ specific requirements. 
• Maintain a high standard of drafting quality, ensuring accuracy in all drawings and minimizing errors. 
•   Conduct site visits as required to gather data for drawing preparation/revision. 
•  Track project progress and assist with reporting to ensure timely completion and adherence to project schedules. 

Specific requirements

• 3 years diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MEP CAD Draughtsman, with at least 1 year of experience working on projects at Dubai Airports or in large-scale infrastructure projects. 
• Prior experience in CAD drafting for MEP systems is essential.
• Experience in working with Excel is preferred. 
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting and design. 
• Solid understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety) and how they interact within a building or infrastructure project. 
• Knowledge of local regulations, standards, and codes for MEP systems in Dubai and the UAE
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken. 
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. 
• Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders. 
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
