Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week, typically between 08:00 and 18:00, with participation in an on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours working requirements - On Call Allowance £205 per call out + time and a half overtime pay)

£42,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel Card, plus excellent benefits

As an Electrician in our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) team, you'll carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing and certification across a portfolio of residential properties. Your expertise will help ensure safe, compliant and well-maintained accommodation for the people who rely on our services.

What you’ll do as a Electrician

  • Carry out reactive and remedial electrical works across domestic properties, including fault finding, repairs and maintenance.
  • Inspect, test and certify electrical installations, completing all required documentation and compliance certification.
  • Service and maintain electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and heating systems.
  • Provide technical advice and support to maintenance colleagues and help resolve complex electrical issues.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, compliantly and within agreed service levels and performance targets.
  • Work collaboratively with housing teams, stakeholders and customers to deliver quality outcomes and excellent service.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…

  • Qualified to City and Guilds Electrical Installation Level 3 (2365, 2330 or equivalent).
  • Holds City and Guilds 2382 18th Edition and City and Guilds 2391/52 Inspection and Testing qualifications.
  • Experienced in carrying out electrical work within domestic dwellings.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.

Vetting and checks

This role requires BPSS clearance, which involves identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks to meet government security standards.
