Serco are recruiting for a Logistics Supervisor to join the team at RNAS Culdrose. This role will be responsible for the management of At Aircraft and Off aircraft logistical support to meet the maintenance, servicing and defect rectification requirement for the IMOS facilities.

 

This role will support Serco management in providing guidance and managing all aspects of on and off aircraft equipment requirements for all matters for contractual delivery across IMOS at RNAS Culdrose.

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

  • Control and accounting of the IMOS logistical support equipment
  • Management of:
    • All stores’ transactions relating to on/off aircraft components
    • Temporary loan transactions, tracking and issues
    • Identification of any losses and raising of MF 2260
    • Processing any changes to range and scaling of on/off aircraft equipment,
    • Support functions to control and manage relevant Fuels, Lubricants and Associated Products (FLAP)
  • The individual will be responsible to the R2/MDMF Senior Supervisor in the R2/MDMF facility for all assets in accordance with the published procedures and instructions
  • Coordinate and supervise any Operatives in the day-to-day workload activities by allocating work as instructed by their Line/Serco Senior Supervisor.
  • Comply with Serco’s and Leonardo’s Quality Manual, HSE policy and all site regulations.
  • To support their Senior Supervisor/Line/Serco Manager in the operational performance of their tasking, whilst maintaining a compliant, efficient and effective operation in line with contractual commitments and customer working procedures.
  • Identify options to develop the customer base and provide our customers with innovative solutions and capability options to support their plans and business goals.
  • Ensure retention of currency to fulfil current roles. 
    • To have the ability to work a day’s routine or a shift pattern in accordance with the Customer and operational requirements.

 

What you’ll need to do the role:

 

  • Previous supervisory experience and a thorough and good working knowledge of the following:
    • Logistical on/off aircraft support for RNAS Culdrose  based Air Systems
    • Logistics Information System competent and use of the Management of the Joint Deployed Inventory system
    • Understanding of Stores Management in a Military environment
    • Project Planning and Lean Operating Procedures
    • Naval Air Publications
    • Health and Safety, the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, Tool Control and Quality Practices
    • Use of Microsoft Office and applications such as Excel and Word
  • Completed or able to complete a Human Factors Course.
  • Completed or ability to complete a Issue Centre Custodian Course
  • Good understanding of rotary wing military (aviation) procedures.
  • An understanding and proven experience of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA).
  • Excellent leadership and people management experience.
  • An excellent capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs
