As a Deputy Contract Manager in our Defence Leadership Group, you’ll play a pivotal role in the operational management of the RSV Nuyina Icebreaker contract. You’ll ensure we deliver high-quality customer services, exceed expectations, and maintain strong compliance. Working closely with the Contract Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, strengthen customer relationships, and create opportunities for contract growth while keeping our teams safe, engaged, and supported.
As a Deputy Contract Manager in the Defence Leadership Group, you’ll make a positive impact by:
• Managing day-to-day service delivery to meet profit, compliance, and quality targets
• Building and maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships
• Coordinating and supporting workforce recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives
• Overseeing contract administration, reporting, and compliance activities
• Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Driving innovation, process improvements, and cost optimisation opportunities

• Understanding of maritime operations and environments
• Experience in contract management or Defence industry roles
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of contract law, governance, finance, and risk analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management systems
