As our new Head of Contingency Compliance, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading our contingency operations across our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC), ensuring accommodation and support for some of society’s most vulnerable people.
This is a newly created, high-profile leadership role where you will provide assurance, compliance, and operational excellence across a large, complex service. Reporting directly to the Contingency Director, you’ll lead a multi-site team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure we meet the highest contractual, legal and safeguarding standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and developing the Contingency Compliance Team, inspiring operational managers across a wide geographical area.
- Acting as the senior lead for compliance, assurance and safeguarding, ensuring professional standards are upheld across all sites.
- Managing subcontractor performance, risk and incident management, statutory inspections and UKVI requirements.
- Driving financial and operational stability, managing budgets of £150m+ in partnership with Finance.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders – from the Home Office to local communities – to ensure the highest standards of service delivery.
- Supporting the Contingency Director with special projects and contributing to the wider contract leadership team.
What you’ll need
- A proven leader with at least 5 years’ experience in people management, ideally across multiple sites and functions.
- Strong background in compliance, safeguarding, and duty of care services for vulnerable groups.
- Demonstrated success in operational excellence, continuous improvement, and change management.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience of managing budgets of £150m+.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- ILM Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience).
- A valid UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
- Ability to obtain CTC Security Clearance and CRB approval.
