About the Role

We’re looking for a talented Solution Manager to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in shaping innovative, customer-focused solutions across a diverse portfolio of bids. You’ll design end-to-end solutions for Government contracts (or key components of larger, complex opportunities) that combine user experience, people, processes, technology, assets and supply chain partnerships.

Working closely with Bid Directors, Solution Leads and Commercial Leads across the Growth central function, you’ll help create operationally informed, commercially viable and compelling propositions that win new and retain business.

If you enjoy turning broad complex questions into clear, workable, costed answers – this is the role for you.

What We’re Looking For & What You’ll Be Doing

    • Do you enjoy getting stuck into difficult problem solving?
    • Can you work across multiple ideas and thoughts at once?
    • Can you think multiple steps ahead to see the bigger picture?
    • Can you think outside the box and challenge the status quo?
    • Can you win an argument and change someone’s point of view?
    • Can you connect the dots between existing services and how they can inform future improvements to new Government contracts?
    • Could you unpick customer and competitor insights to show how we are different?
    • Can you identify possible risks and point out their impact later down the line?
    • Do you thrive under pressure with deadlines?
    • Do you like getting up in front of a group to lead a workshop or a presentation?
    • Are you a team player?

Experience

    • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
    • Clear, confident written communication skills – able to explain complex ideas simply
    • Evidence of working effectively in multiple, fast-paced environments
    • Quick to understand large volumes of information and data
    • Some operational experience – e.g. people management or data informed decision making
    • Some analytical capability
    • Some stakeholder management
    • Some commercial judgement and financial understanding
    • Some knowledge of UK Government market and competitive landscape

About You

You’ll be someone who:

  • Has a collaborative working style
  • Thinks big picture but delivers reality
  • Balances customer wants with commercial realism
  • Pushes for better ways of working
  • Communicates complex ideas with ease
  • Demonstrates resilience

You’ll also be flexible and willing to travel as required to support bids across multiple locations.
