The selected service providers will be required to sign the Ethics reminder and to conduct themselves accordingly during the provision of services under awarded specific contract.

The service provider is expected to provide data analysis services covering the end-to-end analytical workflow, from data collection, preparation and quality assurance to exploratory, quantitative and qualitative analysis, interpretation, reporting and presentation of findings, as required by the appropriate project and service managers.
The tasks that the service provider will be expected to perform include any or all of the following.
  • Collect, compile, curate, structure and prepare data from multiple sources, including large-scale and multilingual datasets, for analytical use.
  • Clean, validate and quality-check datasets, applying consistency checks, source validation, classification rules and reconciliation procedures to ensure reliable analytical outputs.
  • Conduct exploratory, quantitative, qualitative and computational analysis to identify trends, patterns, relationships, narratives and other relevant insights.
  • Perform statistical analysis, including formal statistical analysis and bivariate/co-occurrence analysis where relevant, to support evidence-based conclusions and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain structured analytical datasets, taxonomies, annotation /classification schemes and supporting documentation for reproducible analysis.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Analyse textual and media data using computational text-analysis techniques, including thematic, narrative, framing, sentiment and classification approaches where appropriate.
  • Produce analytical reports, briefings, visual research summaries and other reporting products that communicate key metrics, findings and trends clearly and concisely.
  • Apply data storytelling and visual presentation techniques to translate complex analytical findings into accessible, decision-relevant messages for senior, policy and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, researchers, analysts and technical teams to gather analytical requirements, clarify data needs and translate user needs into analytical workflows and specifications.
  • Document data sources, methodologies, analytical processes, validation steps, assumptions and findings, ensuring transparency, traceability and consistency.
  • Monitor the quality and consistency of analytical outputs and contribute to validation and quality-assurance processes across projects and deliverables.
  • Synthesize evidence from multiple sources and formulate actionable, evidence-based recommendations tailored to institutional and policy needs.
  • Contribute to technical and scientific outputs, including methodology, results and discussion sections, and support revision and consolidation of analytical deliverables.
  • Support knowledge transfer through user guidance, briefings, training or coaching on analytical tools, workflows and results, where required.
  • Manage assigned analytical tasks and deliverables in coordination with project teams, respecting agreed timelines, priorities and quality requirements
